Alliance | An alliance is a group of three robotics teams in a match. During a match there are two alliances, the red alliance and the blue alliance. During matches we are randomly assigned teams to work and compete with on an alliance. |

Coopertition | Coopertition is point that are awarded during a game for doing various tasks help cooperate with the Alliance we are competing against meanwhile we both get the same amount of coopertition points. |

Districts | Districts are two smaller events where district teams go once they register for the year. District teams try and earn as many points as they can to go to district championships and eventually the FIRST Worlds Championship. |

FIRST | FIRST stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” FIRST is a non-profit organization founded by Dean Kamen that inspires and prepares students all over the world for team based robotics programs. |
FRC | FRC stands for FIRST Robotics Competiton. This is the high school level that our team competes in. |
FTC | FTC stands for FIRST Tech Challenge. This is the middle school level that our middle school team High Tech Hilltoppers 26066 competes in. |

Northern Lights | Northern Lights is a regional competition that we can compete in during our season. |

Regional | The Topperbots compete in Regionals. Regionals are competitions that are open to all teams after registering for the year. These events are larger and you can often advance to the FIRST Worlds Championship directly from the event. District teams can compete in regionals as well. |
